Christmas in Georgia
In Georgia, Christmas is celebrated on January 7. This is because the Georgian Orthodox Church
(like Orthodox Churches in Russia, Ethiopia and other countries) use the old "Julian" calendar for
their holiday.
On Christmas many people will go to "Alilo", a parade in the streets. They are dressed in special
